Reg Cartwright was born in Leicester in 1938.In 1957 after National Service in the army he worked as a graphic designer for several art studios and advertising agencies.He became a full-time painter and illustrator in 1976. His work has been shown around the world and currently his paintings can be seen at Cambridge Contemporary Art, Cambridge and The Bircham Gallery, Holt, Norfolk. He lives in Leicestershire and married with two sons. His current work is mainly still-life with landscape or estuary background based along the Suffolk coast, or simply still-life with fruit, fish, jugs etc.
